Two AIA Life Designers projects were awarded the SIMI 2018 Grand Prize, a key event for commercial real estate, organised at the Palais des Congrès, Porte Maillot, Paris.
Chaired by Alain Béchade, Professor Emeritus of the CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers), AIA Life Designers won in the category “New office building + 5,000 m²” for the Crédit Agricole headquarters of Anjou and Maine, in Le Mans.
The jury valued the quality of the dialogue between the client and the architect, as well as their shared journey for a project that combines architecture, engineering and environment, all aspects that fall within the scope of AIA Life Designers.
AIA Life Designers was also awarded a special jury prize for the Grand Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon
A true team effort and an exceptional adventure over the past nine years, working on a realisation that is firmly anchored in architectural history, whose construction began in the 16th century. Five centuries of architectural additions contributed to this 55,000 m² building, which is now open to the city and the people of Lyon. This is the journey of a transformation: from a hospital to a hospitable public space.
