On 3 December, the Institut Curie in Paris laid the foundation stone of a vast operation to modernise and extend its site in Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine), the former René-Huguenin Cancer Centre (CLCC), with which it merged in 2010.
A new 16,000 m² complex is going to be built firstly, with delivery scheduled for the end of 2021. This will be followed by a two-year renovation phase of the existing building. Ultimately, the Saint-Cloud site will see its surface area almost double to 35,000 m², including 2,500 m² devoted to research laboratories, with a total of 148 beds and places on the hospital side.
