Foundation stone of the LADAPT Drôme-Ardèche
On 18 September 2019, the foundation stone of the new 10,500 m² Terracotta Follow-up Care and Rehabilitation Centre at the southern outskirts of Valence was laid in the presence of Nicolas Daragon, Mayor of Valence, Emmanuel Constans, President of LADAPT and the AIA Life Designers architects and engineers.
The building opens out into two arms in welcome, symbolising the vocation of LADAPT: the reception of people with disabilities and its spirit “Living together, equal and different”. With its new associative project 2016-2020, LADAPT will continue to work for the assertion of the rights of people with disabilities in society”. Emmanuel Constans, LADAPT President.
Welcoming spaces like open arms.
Dynamic lines with horizontal stratification.
The architecture lends itself to movement and mobility: the fluid composition of the park, the traffic areas, the prospects from the openings to the outside, the free and modular technical platform that extends onto the therapeutic terraces, the omnipresent natural light that hails and accompanies movements. It is thought through as being itself a rehabilitation tool, stimulating bodies.
